Thus, taking into account the proportion of either CD4+, either CD8+ T-cells to secrete IFN-γ and/or TNF-α and/or IL-2, we found that T-cells in HF patients were as polyfunctional as elderly controls (Figures 4G,H), suggesting that T-cells were fully functional and able to response to antigenic stimulation if necessary.
