In this study, we identified that PKM2 and LDHA, the key players in the Warburg effect, were significantly suppressed by the Wnt/β-catenin signalling inhibitor KYA1797K19 in CRC cells, and that led us to identify a role of Wnt/β-catenin signalling, especially its aberrant activation due to APC loss, in cancer metabolism and the Warburg effect. This evidence concerns the gene APC and colorectal carcinoma.
