Currently, a tremendous amount of domestic and foreign scientific research have proven that GPx‐1 polymorphisms are associated with different diseases, such as coronary artery disease (Kiss et al., 1997; Yeh et al., 2018), cancer (Habyarimana et al., 2018; Lubos et al., 2011), diabetes and its vascular complications (Buraczynska et al., 2017; Sultan et al., 2018), rheumatoid arthritis (Irfan et al., 2016), Huntington's disease (HD) (Zheng et al., 2018), PD (Gardaneh et al., 2011; Redensek et al., 2019), autism (Ming et al., 2010), and postpartum hemorrhage (Endler et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene GPX1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
