TNF and COVID-19: This supports the results of a global registry of rheumatic patients with COVID-19 that found that neither exposure to DMARDs or TNF-inhibitors was associated with an increased risk of hospitalization.9 Both Robilotti et al and Gianfrancesco et al found that corticosteroid use (≥20 mg and ≥10 mg per day equivalent of prednisone, respectively) was associated with increased risk of hospitalization.
