Oddo et al. provided compelling evidence that single intrahippocampal injection of anti-Aβ antibodies led to a distinct reduction of the early but not the late forms of phosphorylated human tau in 12-month-old 3×Tg-AD mice, following the clearance of intracellular and extracellular Aβ 56. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
