The multivariable regression analysis showed DFCs was positively associated with sex (OR = 1.596, 95%CI 1.249–2.039), having one first-degree family member with diabetes (OR = 1.377, 95%CI 1.087–1.744), having more than one family first-degree member with diabetes (OR = 1.402, 95%CI 1.079–1.822), PLT levels higher than 300 * 109/L (OR = 3.158, 95%CI 1.800–5.540), DPN (OR = 2.696, 95%CI 2.159–3.366), the using of lipid-lowering agents (OR = 1.721, 95%CI 1.369–2.164) and the use of insulin (OR = 1.650, 95%CI 1.248–2.182). This evidence concerns the gene INS and diabetes mellitus.
