Increased levels of TSLP protein are found in skin lesions of patients with atopic dermatitis [21, 24, 25] and aberrant expression of TSLP has been observed in allergic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, including Crohn’s disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis and ulcerative colitis [26], and in cancer [27]. This evidence concerns the gene TSLP and ulcerative colitis.
