On this basis, the aim of the research was to perform an in vitro study of neuroinflammation on different types of neuronal and non-neuronal cell lines: C6 glioma cells, SHSY-5Y neuroblastoma cell line, BV-2 microglia cells, and Mo3.13 oligodendrocytes, together silencing NAAA enzyme and treating with PEA-um, thus providing a greater amount of PEA needed to counteract inflammation triggered at cellular level. This evidence concerns the gene NAAA and glioma.
