Currently, there are multiple ongoing Phase I/II clinical trials evaluating the effect of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy alone or in combination, in patients with advanced, recurrent, or persistent cervical cancer [45]: in CheckMate 358, a Phase I–II study, nivolumab 240 mg/kg was given every 2 weeks in virus-related tumors, including cervical cancer.
