Troussard, et al., (2006) [47] attempted to show that ILK is a critical regulator of BC cell survival through the PKB/Akt pathway by using QLT0267, which resulted in the inhibition of PKB/Akt Ser473 phosphorylation, stimulation of apoptosis, and decreased mTOR expression in human BC cells. This evidence concerns the gene ILK and breast cancer.
