ACAT1 and polycystic ovary syndrome: As shown in Table 2, the PCOS women with enhanced ACAT1 acetylation in their granulosa cells had a markedly reduced 2PN fertilization rate (56.5% vs. 69.3%, respectively), cleavage rate (56.2% vs. 69.3%, respectively), and rate of transferable embryos (52.5% vs. 91.7%, respectively).
