IL-22 and HOXB-AS5 (a long non-coding RNA located in HOX gene clusters) were upregulated in the serum and tissues of Breast Cancer patients and were associated with clinical stages which showed that the IL-22-HOXB-AS5-PI3K/AKT functional axes may serve as potential molecule biomarkers for diagnosis or therapeutic strategy (189). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and breast carcinoma.
