Since the cilia of adjacent normal bronchial epithelial cells were also stained strongly by the V600E antibody (Supplementary Fig. S2) and ciliated adenocarcinomas of the lung has been reported before42, whether these axonemal dynein heavy chain proteins are overexpressed in subsets of lung cancer and mislead BRAF V600E-specific antibody detection requires more data to conclude.
