Hypoxia inducible factor 1 subunit α (HIF1A) and RELA proto-oncogene NF-kB subunit (RELA), as well as the NF-kB target genes, including baculoviral IAP repeat containing 5 (BIRC5), nitric oxide synthase 2 (NOS2), and selenoprotein P (SEPP1), are important regulators of carcinogenic processes in the development of PCa [20,21,22,23]. Here, NFKB1 is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
