In our preliminary study we investigated the impact of genetic variants of TNFSF13 (APRIL), TNFSF13B (BAFF), TNFRSF17 (BCMA), TNFRSF13C (BAFF-R) and TNFRSF13B (TACI) genes on CLL risk [13] as well as TNFSF13B variants on expression levels of intracellular and soluble forms of BAFF [14], here we focused on investigating the relationship between TNFSF13 (APRIL) and TNFRSF13B (TACI) genetic variants and CLL risk and expression of APRIL and TACI molecules. The gene discussed is TNFRSF17; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
