In our preliminary study we investigated the impact of genetic variants of TNFSF13 (APRIL), TNFSF13B (BAFF), TNFRSF17 (BCMA), TNFRSF13C (BAFF-R) and TNFRSF13B (TACI) genes on CLL risk [13] as well as TNFSF13B variants on expression levels of intracellular and soluble forms of BAFF [14], here we focused on investigating the relationship between TNFSF13 (APRIL) and TNFRSF13B (TACI) genetic variants and CLL risk and expression of APRIL and TACI molecules. This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF13B and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
