Sarhan et al., Orning et al. and Chen et al. observed caspase‐8, which is activated downstream of Yersinia infection or LPS/TNF‐α/TAK1 inhibitor co‐stimulation, cleaves GSDMD to generate active p30 fragments in macrophages, ultimately leading to pyroptosis (Figure 2a).
