Moreover, in patients with higher leucocyte infiltration (patients 3 and 9), some immune inhibitory receptors, including PD‐1, T‐cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain‐containing protein 3 (TIM‐3) and T‐cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT), and their well‐known ligands, PD‐L1, galectin 9 (Gal‐9), and PVR cell adhesion molecule (PVR), were also specifically upregulated in tumor tissues compared with NATs to varying degrees (Figure 2a, Supplementary figure 5).
