SNHG12 and cancer: LncRNA small nucleolar RNA host genes are a member of the class of SNHGs, which were found to be involved in cancer progression and cell apoptosis.[13] Long non-coding RNA small nucleolar RNA host gene 12 (SNHG12) is a novel lncRNA located in chromosome 1 and 675 nucleotides in size, which has been reported to be up-regulated in several tumor cells, such as osteosarcoma,[14] nasopharyngeal carcinoma[15] and endometrial carcinoma.[16] Moreover, SNHG12 played important roles in cancer cell proliferation and migration.
