High PCSK9 group had higher incidence of evens during follow-up time compared to low PCSK9 group [(67 (10.9%) vs 36 (5.9%), p = 0.001)], while data from Additional file 1: Table S1, showed that DM group had higher prevalence of MACEs than non-DM group [50 (13.3%) vs 50 (6.3%), p < 0.001].
