Meanwhile, we measured the levels of MAPK14 protein on pre-treated tumor tissues from a cohort of HCC patients which presented with good or poor responses to sorafenib treatment, the result showed MAPK14 level were significantly higher in sorafenib-resistant (No Response) HCC patients compared to sorafenib-responsive (Complete Response) patients (Figure 1E and Supplementary Table 2). The gene discussed is MAPK14; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
