Cervical cancer tissue, especially with lymphatic metastatic involvement, demonstrates increased levels of miR‐221‐3p and TWIST2 expression and decreased levels of TSP‐2 expression, which implies that TWIST2 stimulates miR‐221‐3p expression and thus abrogates TSP‐2‐promoted metastasis in cervical cancer.43 The gene discussed is TWIST2; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
