We found that the production of the proinflammatory cytokine TNFα and the chemokine MCP-1 in response to BLM or LPS by Spred2−/− inflammatory macrophages was similar to that by WT macrophages, suggesting that Spred2-deficiency in macrophages is not responsible for the decreased level of PF in Spred2−/− mice. The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is Bloom syndrome.
