HDAC6 protein levels are elevated in NSCLC tumors when compared to control tissues [11], and in our cell lines, loss of HDAC6 correlates with both an increase in total and active Chk1 (Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5) as well as a radiosensitivity reliant upon Chk1 activity (Figure 6).
