The genotype MICA*A5.1/A5.1 (p = .025, OR = 2.483, 95% CI, 1.095–5.629) was significantly associated with an increased risk of developing TIA, which revealed that homozygosity for MICA*A5.1 conferred an increased risk of developing TIA compared with heterozygosity (Table 3). Here, MICA is linked to transient ischemic attack.
