Figure 2 shows that the pooled sensitivity and specificity of AFP+AFP-L3%+DCP in the diagnosis of HCC were 0.88 (95% CI 0.80-0.93) and 0.79 (95% CI 0.68-0.87), respectively. The pooled positive likelihood ratio (PLR) was 4.21 (95% CI 2.77-6.40), and the negative likelihood ratio (NLR) was 0.15 (95% CI 0.09-0.24). The diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) for the combination of the three markers was 28.33 (95% CI 16.78-47.83).  Figure 3 shows the summary receiver operator characteristic (sROC) curves of AFP+AFP-L3%+DCP, and the area under the curve (AUC) value was 0.91 (95% CI 0.88-0.93). This evidence concerns the gene AFP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
