The results showed that mutations of TP53, CCND1, SOX2, TP63, PIK3CA, PTEN, NFE2L2, MLL2, ZNF750, NOTCH1, MLL2, FGFR1, and RB1 were significantly enriched in ESCC (11), which were consistent with previous studies (63–65). This evidence concerns the gene PIK3CA and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
