YAP1 and triple-negative breast carcinoma: Huang et al. proved that GPER activation by estrogen suppressed triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) MDA-MB-231 cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and angiogenesis as well as the process of epithelial–mesenchymal transition by regulating the miR-199a-3p/CD151 axis and inactivating the Hippo signaling pathway; they also found that miR-199a-3p overexpression distinctly inhibited the Hippo pathway by downregulating the expression of Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) in MDA-MB-231 cells (85).
