It has previously been suggested that ITGB1-mediated signaling essentially contributed to cell survival after radiation-induced genotoxic injury [27], and increased expression of integrin β1 was associated with poor prognosis in patients with pancreatic carcinoma [28], small-cell lung cancer [29], invasive breast cancer [30], and multiple myeloma [31].
