IL17A and asthma: Panariti et al. (2018) demonstrated that an increase in bronchial vascularization and asthma severity correlates positively with the number of IL-17A+ cells, and the effects of IL-17A on vascular remodeling in the lung can be indirect, and blocking this pathway would be an alternative in order to prevent bronchial vascular remodeling with beneficial clinical results for asthmatic patients (Panariti et al., 2018).
