grade 3 hypertension patients (CCN2: median 855.73 pg/ml, Ang II: median 209.72 ng/L) showed the highest CCN2 and Ang II concentrations compared with grade 1 (CCN2: median 404.13 pg/ml, Ang II: median 122.44 ng/L) and grade 2 patients (CCN2: median 653.43 pg/ml, Ang II: median 141.41 ng/L) (P < 0.01) (Figures 1A, B).
