SNAI2 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Slug overexpression has been reported to induce stemness and promote migration in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast and other cancer types (Sun et al., 2014[51]; Ferrari-Amorotti et al., 2014[13]), and its overexpression is associated with reduced expression of E-cadherin in lymph node metastasis and poor survival of patients (Shioiri et al., 2006[48]).
