CCR5 and neoplasm: Interestingly, those mUM with a high TAM immunoscore expressed high levels of several chemokines, namely, CCL4 (MIP-1β), CCL3 (MIP-1α), and CCL3L1 (involved in the CCR5 macrophage pathway), some of which are released by activated hepatic stellate cells (HSC) [32], suggesting that there may be crosstalk between the two cell populations, ultimately promoting tumour angiogenesis and fibrosis.
