Furthermore, our study clearly demonstrates miR-31-induced downregulation of the cell-cycle regulatory molecules, including the well-established proto-oncogenes cyclin D1 (CCND1) and c-MYC (Figure 5A–D), presumably linked to a delay in the cell cycle of oral cancer cells (Figure 5E,F). The gene discussed is CCND1; the disease is lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
