Using an animal model of chorioamnionitis, Yellowhair et al. [70] found that chorioamnionitis‐induced fetal brain damage was associated with increased expression of CXCL1 and CXCR2 in placental and fetal brain, and with an elevated number of cerebral CXCR2+ neutrophils. Here, CXCR2 is linked to chorioamnionitis.
