To investigate the BC-associated differential S100P and HYAL2 methylation in the peripheral blood DNA of the Chinese population, the same amplicons as described by Yang et al. (2015, 2017) including a total of 13 CpG sites were amplified and analyzed by Agena MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry in 287 sporadic BC cases and 332 age-matched female cancer-free controls. The gene discussed is HYAL2; the disease is breast cancer.
