As shown in Figure 5E, circHivep2 expression was increased in the Iba1+ microglia cells in the hippocampus CA3 region in circHivep2+ exosomes‐KA‐treated mice, while circHivep2 was undetectable in PBS‐KA‐treated mice and the number of the Iba‐1+ microglia cells reduced after injection of circHivep2+ exosomes, suggesting that microglial activation could be repressed by overexpressing circHivep2 in mice with KA‐induced epileptic seizures.
