A cross-sectional healthcare center-based study on Korean adults reported that the proportion of patients with osteopenia or osteoporosis was much higher in the airway hyper-responsiveness (AHR)-positive group than in the AHR-negative group (odds ratio [OR] = 1.715, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.252–2.349), as well as in the ever-asthma group than in the never-asthma group (OR = 1.526, 95% CI 1.120–2.079), except in patients with a history of systemic corticosteroid use [14]. The gene discussed is AHR; the disease is osteoporosis.
