Among 27 specific cancer types, low levels of HDL cholesterol and/or apolipoprotein A1 were associated with increased risk of multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasm, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, and nervous system cancer, and with reduced risk of oral cavity and pharynx cancer (Fig. 4 and Figures S3 and S4). Here, APOA1 is linked to nervous system cancer.
