Transthyretin (TTR) amyloidoses are a group of systemic degenerative diseases involving multiple organ systems and are caused by TTR aggregation [11], such as familial amyloid polyneuropathy (FAP) [12], familial amyloid cardiomyopathy (FAC) [13], senile systemic amyloidosis [14] and leptomeningeal amyloidosis [15]. This evidence concerns the gene TTR and amyloidosis.
