The previous studies reported that Gal-9 expression is significantly associated survival time and acts as a prognostic role in various cancer, including breast cancer, gastric cancer, cervical carcinoma and malignant melanoma (Jiang et al., 2013; Zhang et al., 2012; Liang et al., 2008; Irie et al., 2005; Kageshita et al., 2002). This evidence concerns the gene LGALS9 and cervical carcinoma.
