MTDH and ovarian cancer: Masses of genes collaborate with each other and activate or suppress the pathways, such as SNAI1, SULG, MMP1, CCL5, IL6, TNF, etc. MTDH, also known as astrocyte elevated gene (AEG)-1, has emerged as a primary regulator contributing to initiation and progression of various cancers, including lung cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, liver cancer, etc. [34, 50–52].
