Hence, in this study, the mRNA differential expression of ANGPTL2, PI3K, Akt, and FoxO1 was detected in ovarian tissues between rat models of PCOS treated or not with metformin by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), investigated whether ANGPTL2 affects the development of follicles through the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in the PCOS models, and investigated the correlations between ANGPTL2 and PCOS and IR. Here, ANGPTL2 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
