Xue et al. [22] detected the differential expression of the ANGPTL1 and ANGPTL2 genes in the cumulus-oocyte complexes from metaphase II (CCMII) of patients with PCOS, and the results showed that only ANGTPTL2 was highly expressed, indicating that ANGPTL2 more likely affects the development and maturation of cumulus granules in patients with PCOS. This evidence concerns the gene ANGPTL1 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
