NFKB1 and neoplasm: Ursolic acid, a pentacyclic triterpene first identified in epicuticular waxes of apples and other plants [41], affects key cell signaling pathways, such as signal transducers and activators of transcription (STATs), nuclear factor (NF)-κB, and tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL), and shows anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor features [42,43,44].
