In their studies, Skibola et al., (2004) and Willett et al., (2005) found that the presence of A allele associated with LEP rs2167270 G>A polymorphism decreases the risk of NHL, but both LEP rs7799039 G>A and LEPR rs1137101 (Q223R) polymorphisms are associated with increased risk of NHL (Skibola et al., 2004; Willett et al., 2005). Here, LEP is linked to non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
