CD4 and systemic lupus erythematosus: Furthermore, the functional enrichment results of RNA-Seq combined with our previous data (Guo et al., 2018), suggest that a few dysregulated mRNAs are significantly enriched in the immune and inflammatory responses in either lupus PBMCs or CD4+ T cells, whereas certain mRNAs, which participate in NF-κB transcription factor activity, and antigen presentation by MHC II were found only in CD4+ T cells, parallel to the biological process of differently ac4C-acetylated peaks.
