Deleted in malignant brain tumors 1 (DMBT1) has been reported to be a tumor suppressor gene (TSG) in brain (medulloblastoma, GBM), lung, and gastrointestinal tumors based on homozygous deletions, lack of expression, its instability in cancer, and having key roles in immune defense and epithelial differentiation (47). The gene discussed is DMBT1; the disease is glioblastoma.
