Recently, several studies have proved the prognostic significance of multiple prognosis-related scoring rubrics in a variate of cancers based on systemic inflammation, such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), C-reactive protein (CRP) and CRP-to-albumin ratio (CAR), as well as modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS) [6–9].
