GBP4 and cancer: In addition to Gbp4, mutations of several putative cancer driver genes, such as Scube335, Akt1s136, and Psmb339,40, that affect tumorigenesis were identified in both mutant mammary glands and PTs of mouse 476 by single-cell sequencing (Fig. 4b, c; Supplementary Fig. 4b), but some of these mutations were not detected by bulk sequencing, suggesting that cell-intrinsic factors and extrinsic microenvironmental factors both are essential for tumor initiation and progression.
