These findings are consistent with the observation that lower eIF3a expression associates with poor prognosis of several cancers in this study and as reported in previous publications (Bachmann et al., 1997; Dellas et al., 1998; Chen and Burger, 1999, 2004; Pincheira et al., 2001; Spilka et al., 2014).
