It is well-known that triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and HER-2-positive breast cancer possess more mutations than luminal breast cancer (20, 21), thereby leading to a higher risk of recurrence and metastasis in the same treatment conditions and might be the reason why there is no statistical survival difference between OBC and non-OBC patients in other subtypes. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is triple-negative breast carcinoma.
